Avicultura success for Marel Stork Poultry
Success for Marel Stork Poultry Processing at the Congreso Latinoamericano de Avicultura exhibition in Buenos Aires, where the company’s 55m2 stand attracted a steady stream of visitors from all over South America throughout the course of the four-day event.
South America’s most important poultry exhibition, the show was staged at the Argentine capital’s La Rural Predio Ferial exhibition centre, from September 6 – 9.
The event’s increasing importance reflects the continuous growth in poultry production and consumption throughout the region. In 2010, Argentina produced 1.75 million tons of poultry meat and exported 310,000 tons, with a value of 500 million dollars.
By 2017, this is expected to rise to an annual figure of 2.51 million tons. Exports are projected to rise to 600,000 tons, with domestic consumption expected to grow from 38 kg to 47 kg per inhabitant per year, creating a raft of fresh opportunities and challenges which Marel Stork Poultry Processing is eager to embrace.
