ABOUT THE OFFICE

Marel Food Systems has formally opened a new representative office in Qingdao, China as part of the corporate goal to increase business in Asia. Marel Food Systems also operates subsidiaries and offices in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Bangladesh and India.

Jerry Lee, a former employee of Icelandic China plc, has been appointed General Manager of the new China office. Mr. Lee will establish the sales and service operation in China and promote the four company brands: AEW Delford, Carnitech, Marel and Scanvaegt.

The company's recent contract with one of China's largest fish processing companies, Pacific Andes, came after extensive work on this market and the new office will be integral to the company's growth on the Asian market.
