Innova – Intelligent Production Control
Marel Food Systems will be showcasing Innova, a revolutionary new software package designed for intelligent production control. Innova is compatible with all Marel Food Systems machinery and takes production management to a whole new level by reducing the time that the factory manager spends actively monitoring the production process.

New generations IPL Robot
AEW Delford will demonstrate its new generations technology at Interpack 2008.
The IPL Robot picks up single or multiple portions and places them quickly, gently and accurately in any format into trays or thermoformers. The versatile WPL 8060 Weigh Price Labeller handles all popular tray sizes at speeds of up to 60 packs/min. and features new, enhanced software to ease machine programming.

AEW Delford’s LS 40 Label Applicator applies self adhesive promotional and product description labels to a wide variety of packs at speeds up to 150 labels/min., while the C3 Panel Label Applicator offers reliable wrap around labelling of self adhesive pre-printed labels onto 2 or 3 sides of a tray or container.

SpeedBatcher – speed and accuracy from input to delivery
Marel’s SpeedBatcher is a unique batching system that can create batches ranging from 0.4 to 30 kg at very high speed. The SpeedBatcher automatically weighs raw material into sub-weights, which are then selectively combined to form the best batch weight. This capability enables the SpeedBatcher to outperform all conventional hopper systems in both speed and accuracy. The unit is fully automatic – from input to delivery.

ScanCombinator multihead weigher – specially designed for wet and sticky food
Scanvaegt will present two multihead weighers – one on a platform with 5 litre hoppers and one with a circle conveyor with hoppers of 2 litres capacity.

The design of the ScanCombinator ensures that soft, wet and sticky products are moved to the weighing unit as smoothly and rapidly as possible – and does away with feeder system blockages. This means that products like seafood, bacon cubes, sausage slices, salads, marinated vegetables, shredded carrots, cheese as well as other hard-to-handle products are processed without problems.

Easy integration into packing total lines
The ScanCombinator communicates and integrates with all well-known types of packing machines. It can easily be incorporated into a total packing line as it handles infeed, weighing and packing into almost any kind of trays, bags, thermo packs etc.

Scanvaegt RoboBatcher – automatic batching and loading of fixed weight packs
Also on display will be Scanvaegt’s RoboBatcher. A patented circular disc separator system holding 12 trays gives the RoboBatcher excellent possibilities for making fixed weight batches with low giveaway. In addition, the vision system enables the RoboBatcher line to separate products which need to meet other criteria than weight alone, for instance products measuring above 110 mm in length with a maximum height of 25 mm and weighing between 110-120 grams.
