Marel Food Systems supports the Icelandic national culinary team
Marel Food Systems will be the primary sponsor of the Icelandic national culinary team for the next three years, and will provide the team with an annual contribution of 1 million Icelandic kronur. The grant will be used to finance preparations for major culinary contributions at home and abroad, including the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany, which will take place from 19 to 22 October.
In return, the Master Chefs‘ Club will assist Marel Food Systems with product promotion, provide access to recipes and make the national culinary team available for advertisements. The Club will participate in the preparation of two events to be held at Marel headquarters during the course of the year. Finally, the Club will also promote Marel‘s name and logo in competitions and any presentation they participate in.
The sponsorship agreement was signed at Marel Food Systems headquarters in Gardabaer, Iceland, on 13 May 2008. Stella Björg Kristinsdóttir signed on behalf of Marel and Alfreð Ómar Alfreðsson, newly elected President of the Master Chefs‘ Club, signed on the Club‘s behalf.
