Today marks the beginning of Global Entrepreneurship Week (15-21 November) in over 100 countries around the world.
The purpose of the week is to promote the value of entrepreneurship for society in general and to encourage the public at large to explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
Marel is one of the main sponsors of the week‘s activities in Iceland, including an ideas competition among secondary school students, held for the second year in a row. The programme of activities in Iceland is organized by the Innovit center for innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the course of the week, an estimated one million people around the globe will participate in a rapidly growing movement of entrepreneurs who seek to effect positive change in society, as well as in their own lives.
