Featured on the Marel stand at this year’s show will be a number of systems and solutions specifically developed for the local market, including a large TargetBatcher with a takeaway conveyor and packing chute.
At the same time, a team of Marel specialists will be on hand throughout the exhibition to provide information and advice on all the company’s equipment for processing whitefish, shellfish and farmed species such as Pangasius and Tilapia.
Now in its 16th year, China Fisheries & Seafood Expo has grown to become Asia’s largest seafood show, attracting exhibitors from all over the world and visited by thousands of buyers and decision makers.
Strategically located in the port city of Qingdao (pop. 7m), the event is set in the heart of an area with the largest seafood re-processing industry in China, with local companies and those in the surrounding Shandong Province importing and exporting USD$6 billion worth of seafood each year, almost a third of China’s total international seafood trade.
