Marel is continuously in the process of developing new technologies to help food processors respond to the fluctuating demands of their customers. At this year’s IPA Exhibition in Paris, we will highlight some of the advanced Marel and Townsend Further Processing equipment and systems that we have to offer. We will be displaying our I-Cut 55 high-speed PortionCutter and WPL 9040 Weigh Price Labeller, as well as a sample of our grading, batching and checkweighing equipment. We will also be highlighting our Townsend skinners and TurboVar inline portioner.

Product highlights:
I-Cut 55 PortionCutter:
The I-Cut 55 is a high-speed, high-precision PortionCutter ideal for cutting products to fixed weight and/or length. The PortionCutter features 360° scanning, which provides exceptionally accurate measuring of the products to determine where to cut for fixed weight portions.
TurboVar:
The Townsend Further Processing inline portioner TurboVar, cuts a continuous stream of fresh sausage into precise pre-defined lengths. The machine ensures perfect sausage presentation with no open ends, but instead an attractive “natural” round shape at the end of each sausage.
WPL9040 Weigh Price Labeller:
Marel’s series of Weigh Price Labellers represent a generation of reliable, accurate, easy to use, time saving weigh price labellers that can operate for long periods without interruption. The WPL 9040 is ideal for large packs and gives full access to all system functions while running.
Marel Multihead Weigher and M-Check RF8 checkweigher:
Marel’s Multihead Weigher deals with almost any infeed, mixing and weighing requirements. It automatically portions and packs food products into any kind of tray, thermo pack, bag, can, glass or box. At the show the Multihead Weigher will be shown in line with our checkweigher the M-Check RF8. The checkweigher provides 100 percent weight control preventing under- and/or overweight and is specially designed to deal with wet as well as dry food products.
Target Batcher:
This Batcher is a unique weighing machine that combines a predetermined number of fresh or frozen products into a package with an exact weight. The Target Batcher is easy to integrate into production lines delivering fixed-weight batches directly for manual or automatic packing.
SK 11-320 Membrane Skinner:
The Membrane Skinner from Townsend is used for removal of membrane from round muscle pieces. The Skinner is designed with excellent sanitation options in mind, which provides up to 50 percent less time required for cleaning.
SK 15-340 Skinner:
The skinner removes skin from flat pieces of pork, like bellies, backs, shoulders and trimmings. The stand-alone skinner is a user-friendly machine with easy access to all operator functions as well as great sanitation opportunities with easy access for cleaning. Available in both a right – and left-hand version, the Skinner
will fit into most production layout.
Compact Grader:
The economical Compact Grader is suitable for simple grading and batching of a wide variety of products. The grader is very user-friendly and is virtually a “plug & play” solution that is easy to install and easy to operate.
