Marel looks forward to welcoming you to stand # 6227 in hall 4 at this year‘s European Seafood Exposition, which will be staged in Brussels from May 3-5.
Spanning the complete processing spectrum on-board and ashore, this year Marel showcases a wide range of standalone equipment and fully integrated systems designed for use in processing wild
and farmed salmon, whitefish and pelagic fish, as well as high-intensity farmed fish, such as tilapia and pangasius. All aimed at helping processors maximise yields, throughput and quality, while reducing processing times and labour costs.
Visitors to the Marel Stand will have a unique opportunity to combine business and pleasure with some solid information, as the company stages a daily roadshow called "species Sessions", hosted by a team of Marel specialists dealing with processing equipment and solutions for a different type of fish every day.

HIGHLIGHTS
Filleting, trimming, pinboning
SPE will see the launch of the Marel MS 2730 advanced salmon filleting machine which comes complete with many new features and is capable of filleting up to 25 fish per minute, with automatic adjustment for various fish sizes.
The Marel Intelligent Trimming Machine (ITM) for salmon will be also presented in a new upgraded version, with increased efficiency, improved ergonomics resulting from the presence of an operating panel on both sides, and improved features for cleaning.

Pinboning equipment featured will include the CT 2616.24 Vacuum Pinboner. Equipped with an extra set of heads designed to remove difficult neck bones, the machine removes both bones and surplus water from fillets, ensuring a high level of hygiene and maximum yield.
Precision slicing
Among the slicers featured will be the Geba series of multi-angle salmon slicers. The fastest fresh salmon slicers on market today, these come available both as a single-lane, vision-based model for cutting fixed weight slices or portions, or as a high-capacity double-lane version producing 250 cuts per minute. With a wide cutting range angle of between 10-68°, Geba slicers enable the production of many highquality end products, such as D-cut slices, sushi slices, bacon cut, raw salmon and hot smoked portions or escalopes, and come with a range of new features, including the ability to space out the slices/portions for easier handling during product packing.
Fixed-weight portioning
Among the machines on display is the high-speed I-Cut 10, a simple but highly effective portion cutter designed for use in basic processing, enabling users to secure a rapid payback on investment through substantial savings in labour costs and improved yields. By contrast the high-speed, high-precision I-Cut 36 features a 45 degree cutting angle and a top performance of up to 1000 cuts per minute when cutting products to fixed weight and/or length.

Packing solutions
Marel introduces its range of flexible M-Pack packing solutions for use in combination with simple or advanced grading, batching and portioning applications for any species.
Economic freezing
On display will also be the Super Flow Easy Clean tunnel freezer. Estimated to reduce overall freezing costs by at least 15%, the unit is specially designed for freezing of small products, shrimps, fish fillets, fragile products, and products placed on trays.

Value-added chilling
Featured also will be the Marel SuperChiller, a highly innovative process that allows the core of each fish to be cooled without freezing it, resulting in optimised yield management, increased primary product, a healthy increase in trimming volume, better product mix, and an increase in shelf life of fresh product of up to 2-4 days, resulting in reduced transport costs.
Production management systems
Developed over more than 20 years and now in its fifth generation, Marel Innova software closely monitors and controls critical key performance indicators (KPIs) in real time. Covering the complete production cycle from reception to product dispatch, it provides a complete overview of a host of vital factors including yield, throughput and efficiency, overpacking, quality, stock levels and movements, traceability and profitability. Innova can be seamlessly integrated with existing Marel MPS software systems, and comes in a series of standard modules that can be easily added to suit the function and scale of operation required. Innova supports the full spectrum of Marel processing equipment, and creates a wealth of fresh opportunities in production management.
