Presenting robots and intelligent production software from the world’s
leading brands at the International Poultry Exposition, January 23-25,
2008, Atlanta, GA USA.
Marel Food Systems welcomes you to Hall C – booth # 952 where we
will exhibit a range of equipment from three of Marel Food Systems’
brands: AEW Delford, Marel and Scanvaegt. On display will be our bid
for the future, when it comes to robotics in food processing and the
show will also mark the launch of our brand new Intelligent Production
Software – Innova.
One source for virtually all food processing needs
The
well-known brands in Marel Food Systems are recognized throughout the
poultry industry for their innovative and advanced machines and systems
for efficient processing. Now, as one united company, Marel Food
Systems offers high quality equipment and turnkey processing systems
that will improve yields, reduce costs and improve productivity. With
software solutions to suit any food processor, full traceability and
complete management overview is possible.
Robots and Intelligent Production Software
“The
innovative machines and systems displayed at IPE are only a sample of
the extensive range covered by Marel Food Systems Inc.,” says Einar
Einarsson, President of Marel Food Systems Inc. “Our big theme this
year is robotics in food processing as well as the launch of our new
production software. But we will also be displaying machines for
portion control, bone analysis systems, graders and automatic infeed
systems, weighprice labelers and checkweighers. These high quality
machines can stand alone or link together to form integrated processing
systems, supported by industry specialists who thoroughly understand
production needs."
Innovation Center in Kansas
Marel
Food Systems’ North American subsidiary recently opened the group’s
first Innovation Center at their premises in Lenexa, Kansas,
demonstrating their recognition of and dedication to the critically
important alliance between itself and the industry.
“It is a
particular exciting time in the US food processing industry at the
moment with so many challenges being put forward by both consumers and
the industry itself,” says Marel Food Systems Vice CEO and Director of
Sales, Lárus Àsgeirsson, adding: “With the innovation and test center
in Kansas we are confident that we have taken a huge step in meeting
the needs and production challenges of the US food industry.”
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
IPE 2008 marks the launch of Innova, Marel Food Systems’ revolutionary new software designed for complete production control. Innova reduces
the time the factory manager spends actively monitoring the production
process, providing them with better information for management and
leaving them with more time to adopt a more hands-on approach where it
is needed; on the factory floor. Innova offers intelligent production control and is designed to be compatible with all machinery from Marel Food Systems’ brands.
We will also exhibit innovative machines and systems like AEW Delford’s Intelligent Portion Loading Robot (IPL Robot). The IPL Robot will
pick single, fresh or frozen, bone-in or boneless meat portions or
sliced groups – like bacon, cooked meats, poultry, fish and cheese –
from a portioning slicer, saw or conveyor and place them straight into
trays or thermoformers ready for packing.
Also on display will be Scanvaegt’s RoboBatcher –
a mind-blowing step forward in automatic batching and loading of fixed
weight packs. A patented circular disc separator system holding 12
trays gives the RoboBatcher excellent possibilities
for making fixed weight batches with low giveaway. In addition, the
vision system enables the RoboBatcher line to separate products which
need to meet other criteria than weight alone, for instance products
measuring above 110 mm in length with a maximum height of 25 mm and
weighing between 110-120 grams.
From Marel, one of the many interesting products is the SensorX Automatic Bone Detection System that
detects bones and foreign objects in chicken meat. This sophisticated
and efficient solution increases the level of knowledge that the
processor has of the production process and therefore delivers a safer
and more valuable product. SensorX displays detected bones on a display terminal for easy removal.
