The Marel IPM 3 LaserEye combines conveying and cutting technology with built-in laser vision to meet today's large-scale demand for accurately portioned salmon products.
The Marel IPM 3 LaserEye utilises the latest in 3D laser-vision technology to evaluate each piece before cutting. The unit then automatically calculates the most economic cut configuration based on parameters pre-selected by the production manager.
Operating at a speed of up to 8 cuts per second on the single-lane version, the IPM 3 LaserEye is capable of performing multiple cutting schemes simultaneously, so increasing throughput and optimising yields.
Available as a single or dual lane unit the Marel IPM3 LaserEye is specifically designed to fulfil customer demands. While the single-lane version is sufficient for most users, the dual-lane version is the solution when high throughput is required, to ensure an unbroken flow of left and right fillets through filleting, trimming, portioning and grading with minimum handling.
Simple to operate and easy to access and clean, the Marel IPM 3 LaserEye X600 runs entirely on electricity, eliminating the need for air connections for pneumatics. At the same time, the unit's system of sprocket-driven perforated conveyor belts ensures that belts never have to be adjusted, and gravity tension is always even and correct.
