The focus on improved communication between Marel and Stork to realise integrated production systems has resulted in yet another innovative project in the poultry industry.
German based feed manufacturer Rothkötter Kraftfutterwerk GmbH, has contracted with Marel and Stork to supply its daughter company Emsland Frischgeflügel GmbH with a complete solution for a new poultry plant in Haren, Germany. With this move Rothkötter will enter poultry processing with an innovative plant that incorporates several new developments in the industry with a total slaughter capacity of 190.000 chickens a day.
Scheduled for start-up at the end of the year, the new plant will feature a combination of Stork and Marel systems that cover the entire operation. From deboning to dispatch of products ready for fixed weight packing the Marel line, using data from the Stork PDS-NT system, will weigh, grade and batch birds and parts, label them and register with full traceability.
The new processing facility marks a closure in Rothkötter’s concept of a complete cycle in poultry manufacturing - adding the final link to their chain of feed, hatching, breeding and slaughterhouse operations.
