Marel hf released a new Compact Grader XL on October 1st, 2004. This new addition to the successful Compact Grader series from Marel is designed to grade large pieces of product, including whole fish and fillets. New features include an optional Ethernet connection to MPS production software and a wireless connection to a Palm Pilot.
Jakob Valgeir Flosason, purchased the first Compact Grader XL for Icelandic Fish processor Jakob Valgeir, and accepted it at a reception at the Marel Headquarters in Iceland on October 1st. The new Compact Grader XL will be used to grade IQF whole fillets and portions.
With a long grading conveyor the Compact Grader handles raw material of up to 70 cm in length and 25 cm in width at a throughput of up to 80 pieces a minute.
Like other Compact Graders the CG-62 XL is a stand-alone unit with 6 gates that comes ready to use and is easy to install. The CG-62 XL performs accurate grading and batching by weight and/or count utilizing the M2200 terminal with a user-friendly language independent interface. Different grading programs are easy to set up and can be managed with a Palm Pilot.
NEW: Ethernet connections
The Ethernet connection option makes it simple and easy to connect the Compact Graders to efficient production software that gives full overview of throughput and performance. The MPS Grading software monitors the grading process including yield and throughput. The software offers reports on weight distribution, average weight, packing overview and packing list as well as standard grading overview and lists.
NEW: Wireless connection to Palm Pilot
The graders come with an optional wireless connection to Palm Pilot. The Palm solution provides cordless communication with the Compact Grader's M2200 controller. Up to 30 grading set-ups can be stored in the Palm Pilot. Reports can also be stored in the Memo pad and later uploaded to a PC using standard Palm support tools.
