Marel Australia has signed a milestone contract with Progressive Meats Ltd for the first full size lamb flowline to be installed in New Zealand.

Mr. Sigsteinn Grétarsson director of Marel Australia and Mr. Craig Hickson of Progressive Meats signed the contract.
True to its name, Progressive Meats Ltd brings new technology to lamb processing in a country famous for its lamb meat exports. Located in Hastings in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand, Progressive Meats Ltd specializes in the procurement, slaughtering and processing of lamb and venison for export.
The company went through an extensive evaluation process of all meat system suppliers until selecting Marel to develop the future of lamb processing at their company. The new flowline will radically change the way lamb meat is processed and bring new technology into this thriving business.
This is an exciting step for Marel Australia as Australia and New Zealand account for 90% of global lamb meat exports.
