Seamus Farrel, director of SF Engineering, recently accepted an award from Marel for best Process Demonstration Area. SF Engineering invested over EUR 400,000 in a demonstration, training and trial line for use by it’s customers.
Petur Gudjonsson, Marel sales director, Seamus Farrel, director of SF Engineering and Patricia Molloy, SF Engineering marketing manager with Hörður Arnarson, Marel CEO at the award ceremony.
"We are very impressed with the facility Seamus Farrell has opened and think this will become a great venue to showcase our solutions to the Irish market," said Petur Gudjonsson, Marel Sales Director, on the occasion.
"Essentially we have built a full food processing area with refrigeration and filtration, which will simulate a modern food processing environment," explains Farrell. "We decided to do this because our customers are very important to us and we listen to them. Without them we have no business. A lot of customers wanted to conduct trials and to engage in research and development off-site. They could do this more effectively away from the distractions of the workplace and they could not afford to tie up their own lines for such work."
Seamus Farrell has built a very successful business as a solution provider and agent for Marel and other large food processing manufacturers. His motivation and determination to succeed in a highly competitive and mobile market has proven to be an asset for companies like Marel.
