International Poultry ExpoPress Release

Joint Presence at the IPE the 2007 International Poultry Exposition, Hall C – booth 952

This year's IPE show will mark a new beginning for the Marel Group as Marel, Scanvaegt and AEW Delford will exhibit together for the first time. The three companies have merged in the USA with headquarters in Kansas City where over 100 employees will be working together as a single unit providing sales and services to the US market.

Together the companies will exhibit a wide range of applications for the poultry industry, introducing innovations like the new Marel X-ray quality inspection system and ProLine Grader series, Scanvaegt's ScanFeeder 7700™ automatic poultry infeed and their new concept for IQF poultry processing. AEW Delford will present the Guardian 2200 Multipurpose checkweigher with optional integral metal detector and the high performance 8100 Weigh Price Labeler.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW:

Marel ProLine Graders - Multi-purpose graders with maximum efficiency

Marel introduces the new ProLine Graders – a versatile suite of standardized, modular options put together to suit different processing needs. The ProLine graders are easy to set-up and operate and they come with full grading and batching capabilities, including intelligent batching.

Marel SensorX Poultry Automatic Bone Analysis System

After extensive development and testing Marel releases a new version of the SensorX Poultry Bone Analysis System at the IPE show. The SensorX automatically identifies bones and other foreign objects in chicken meat thereby increasing the knowledge of the deboning process, delivering safer and more valuable products. Real-time feedback on the rate of bone-in fillets and analysis of the nature of bone defects provides a tool for deboning process consistency and improvement.

Marel Splitter - Simple and Easy Splitting

The Marel Splitter is designed to split fresh boneless poultry products. This space saving, economic machine can be used alone to split products into pieces or to cut nuggets from tenders to produce fixed length tenders. Products are cut in separate streams on two lanes, each with its own knife. Different belt colors and laser light guides are used to accurately place products before splitting. Trim is automatically separated from finished product, which moves on to further processing. The Marel Splitter offers easier, more efficient production of nuggets and fixed sized tenders without major investments.

Marel will also exhibit the QVision quality inspection unit, the TSM Profiler template slicing machine and the Platino flattener.

AEW Delford 8100 Weigh Price Labeler - Fast Runner

Operating at speeds of up to 100 packs per minute, the AEW Delford Systems 8100 weigh price labeler combines precision weighing and labeling quality with a range of features to create the optimum system – whatever your production needs. The machine can accommodate up to eight labeling heads in any combination of thermal labelers for added flexibility and capacity.

AEW Delford Guardian 2200 - Weigh Ahead

The Guardian 2200 Multipurpose checkweigher with optional integral metal detector provides a number of important benefits for a wide range of packaging applications, not least of which is the significant contribution it makes to reducing the length of production lines. It is one of the most accurate checkweighers around, with accuracy levels down to an impressive 0.5g, throughput of up to 180 packs/min and an easy to use control panel that features a 500 program memory for fast product changeover.

Scanvaegt ScanFeeder 7700™ – The no-hands approach to poultry infeed

The Scanfeeder 7700TM incorporates automatic infeed technology that enables semi-soft poultry products to be picked up one at a time from a disorderly flow and delivered in the required order. This virtually eliminates the need for manual intervention to the weighing and batching process.

Scanvaegt IQF CoolBatcher™ MRB concept

Scanvaegt will also be presenting the new IQF poultry processing concept featuring:
  • Triple weighing line – 6 tons per hour
  • Fully automated singulation
  • Product recognition using 3-D laser inspection
  • Multi-product batching/counting, with minimal giveaway
Scanvaegt will also be exhibiting the ScanPortioner B22 ultra-high-speed portion cutter – an advanced dual-lane portion cutter designed to meet the special needs of poultry processing companies and the ScanCombinator multi-head weigher with the unique patent pending Automatic Feeder Adjustment technology (AFA).
