Marel’s new V-Cut 160 Portion Cutter is a highly flexible volumetric portion cutter designed to cut non-frozen boneless meat into fixed weight portions with uniform shape. It is exceptionally well suited for small to medium-sized businesses.

Accurate and efficient

Meat products in their original shape are formed in a portioning template of a pre-defined shape and volume. The volumetric portioning method ensures maximum use of raw materials while delivering accurate weight, equal thickness and uniformly shaped portions that meet target weights. 

Variety of cutting possibilities

The V-Cut 160 provides a wide selection of cutting possibilities to suit a variety of processing needs—from portions and butterflies, to cubes and strips. You can easily change cuts by swapping out the portioning plate or template set.

Optimal presentation

The V-Cut 160 Portion Cutter unit can singulate portions and create shingled portions for direct tray packing. It can produce – without crust freezing - single products, stacks, and fixed weight cubes.

Flexible out-feed conveyor setup

Marel built the V-Cut 160 for small to medium-sized processors. Thanks to its symmetric build, the V-Cut 160 is conveniently operable from either side. Available with an in-line portion take-away or a 90-degree conveyor, with an exit to the left or right, the design of the V-Cut 160 maximizes flexibility.
