The D-Cut Slicer MSC 50 is a single-lane slicer and the third generation of the popular Marel silk-cut slicer series. It is designed for the soft slicing of whole pre-cut fillets of cold smoked salmon or other similar types of fish, such as trout, halibut and tuna.
The slicer is manually operated. Skinless fillets are fed into the machine and cut according to the settings made for slice angle and slice thickness. The cutting table has been designed with cutting belts and cutting blocks that ensure optimum support and fixation of the fillet during slicing.
For each fillet, the operator places a gold board on the roller conveyor at the outlet belt. When the fillet has been sliced, the gold board with the entire pre-cut side is removed, ready for further handling.
